Esperanza and Carlos were married at BoaVentura de Caires Winery in the Livermore Valley Wine Country. If you haven't been to the winery, you really should plan a visit. There are 3 things I love about this place: the vineyard/farm setting, the chickens, and the deliciously refreshing white wine.
Livermore Valley is dotted with vineyards and farmland which makes it a unique location for couples who desire a rustic wedding in the great outdoors. BoaVentura hosts just a few weddings each year. The owners of the property are super sweet and were on-hand during the wedding celebration to make sure everyone was well-cared for. Depending on the bride's preference, they'll even let the chickens roam freely during the wedding. Our bride opted out since lots of children would be attending, but I was able to photograph the chickens in their coups just the same.
As for the white wine, it's outstanding. Depending on the year, the blend features Alvarino from San Joaquin County, Sauvignon Blanc from the Livermore Valley, and Orange Muscat of California. Be sure to pick up a few bottles during your visit as it is the perfect summer wine.
